About Me
Hi, I am Leah J. Reinert, PhD. After spending eight years studying, researching, writing, and teaching about higher education and student affairs, I am now working as a freelance academic editor and consultant.
I completed my PhD in Higher Education at the University of Minnesota in 2016 and had the immense pleasure of advising and teaching graduate students in higher education and student affairs for a year in Colorado. During that year of teaching, I developed four syllabi and taught seven courses.
While working on my PhD, I worked as a research and program assistant with the Midwestern Higher Education Compact where I helped write policy briefs, grant proposals and reports, and developed and implemented programs and events. Additionally, I collaborated with faculty, through research assistantships and connections outside of UMN, in creating, conducting, and publishing qualitative research and scholarship.
I have published in scholarly and practitioner focused forums, won awards for my dissertation research, and have a talent for organization and understanding APA (and other writing styles). I have been editing and consulting as kind gestures or as part of my job for almost a decade and truly enjoy helping individuals improve their overall product.
I look forward to helping you on your journey.
Leah J Reinert, PhD
